  1. Mrs. Barbara Bush was witty, plainspoken, blunt, sometimes caustic, always strong-willed, highly intelligent, unpretentiously down to earth, and a loyal defender, protector and champion of her family. The latter sentiment is entirely alien and unknown in the modern Bloomfield family where treachery, deceit, betrayal, rebellion and revolution are the norms. By actions over words, the Bloomfields have produced the modern counterparts to Absalom, Goneril and Regan as well is even King Lear.

  2. Nancy Reagan controlled Ronald Reagan. Rosalynn Carter tried to control Jimmy Carter. Hillary Clinton ruled through Bill. Does anyone really think Barbara ruled George HW Bush?

  3. This is a very sad day for America we have lost one of our most beloved First Ladies. I only hope that Mr. Bush has a easy time with the rest of his life however long or short then maybe.

  4. Everybody loved her, I can see why. I haven’t done much study of her but, she is totally study worthy. Her family will miss her, especially her husband of 73 years. What will hey do without her. R.I.P.

  5. From an Italian (of course limited in
knowledge) point of view she was the gentlest and nicest face of the Bush family… I’ve heard tons of criticism about the men of the family (especially the son) but never a less than kind word about this Lady.

  6. She lived a long well sustaining life and made had a notable public image..God richly blessed her. RIP
