PICO RIVERA, CALIFORNIA, USA – The Board of Education in El Rancho Unified School District in Southern California unanimously decided to fire antimilitary teacher Gregory Salcido for un-American activities. These include derogatory, denigrating remarks laced with profanity against patriotic American to serve in the US armed forces as well as verbally bullying those who might wish to serve their country. Mr. Salcido was a history teacher at El Rancho High School and a City Councilman of Pico Rivera. Horrified Americans in his government classroom did their patriotic duty – such as Victor Quinonez recorded the verbal attack – and reported it. Mr. Salcido’s tirade included, “Think about the people who you know who are over there. Your freaking stupid Uncle Louie or whatever. They’re dumb asses. They’re not like high-level thinkers. They’re not academic people. Do not intellectual people. They’re the lowest of the low.”

Mr. Salcido received a savage backlash from around the planet mainly from service members, veterans, and families of the fallen. White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, a retired Marine Corps general, said of Gregory Salcido, “Well, I think the guy should go to hell! I just hope he enjoys the liberties and the lifestyle that we have fought for.”
Mr. Quinonez, who wishes to join the Marines stated, “Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion but at the same time they shouldn’t be disrespecting the veterans who have fought for our rights, who give up their lives and do stuff that other people are not willing to do.”

Mr. Salcido did make a “sincere apology” at a pico Rivera city Council meeting. It did not save his teaching job.

Sources of information for this report included MSNBC, Fox News and the LA Times.

Do you believe that the termination of Gregory Salcido’s services as a teacher for his un-American activities was a job well done? 1. Oh, it was very much a job well done. I say that as I reflect upon so many of the “lowest of the low” that I have known – my late uncle Phil who was a banker with Chase Manhattan Bank; my uncle Michael Sibblis, who is a brilliant banker and one of the smartest businessmen I have ever known; and myself who as a minor historical figure was the first black legislative aide in Marion County since Reconstruction and the first black candidate in Marion County history to get the Democratic Party’s nomination for County white office. We have been honored to be among ‘The Lowest of the Low’!
