NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK – Comedian Joy Behar of “the View” – a televised left-leaning feminist group discussion forum – privately apologized to Vice President Mike Pence and then publicly apologized to over 2.2 billion Christians for offending them and slandering their religion, Christianity, by equating talking to Jesus Christ with mental illness.

Back on February 13, on “The View”, the panel of hosts (which consists of four liberal Democrats and one conservative Republican) reacted to the claim of former White House aide Omarosa Manigault on the “Celebrity Big Brother” show that Vice President Mike Pence “thinks Jesus tells him to say things.” Co-host Sonny Hostin and co-host Joy Behar (two of the four liberals) chimed in, with Ms. Hostin stating, “I don’t know that I want my vice president, um-speaking in tongues and having Jesus speak to him.” Joy Behar added, “It’s one thing to talk to Jesus. It’s another thing when Jesus talks to you. That’s called mental illness, if I’m hearing voices. Can he talk to Mary Magdalene without his wife in the room?”

These denigrating remarks led to a firestorm reaction by offended Christians. After the outrageous statement, ABC (which broadcasts “The View”) received over 30,000 angry calls from offended Christians with 6,000 of them contacting “The View’s advertisers – Home Advisor, Gerber, Oreo and Clorox.

In response, Ms. Behar called Vice President Pence on the phone and personally apologized to him for ridiculing the way he practices his religion. The vice president magnanimously accepted her apology, but encouraged her to make a public apology to all Christians which she did today.

“The View’s conservative Republican co-host Ainsley Ehrhardt, while on the conservative Talk Show “Fox and Friends” back on Wednesday, February 14, said of Joy Behar (who is Italian-American and was actually raised Catholic), “She doesn’t know the joy and the love that He provides for so many people.”

  1. Well, I saw her on the View and it looked staged. I didn’t believe her she had a half twisted smile on her face. Like am only saying this because my mortgage payment is due. Smh!

    • In what way? I tried to upload video of the episode and could not do so. I think I will try adding the link. But in what way do you think it looked staged???

  2. I was saddened by the comments of Joy Behar when I first heard about them. But religion in general, and Christianity in particular, have been under attack in America during the 21st century in a way I would not have fully imagined back in the 20th century. But I dismissed the whole thing as I’ve long become numb to extremely secular “Christians” allied with activist agnostics and militant atheists denigrating the devout.

This is also a problem for the Democratic Party as it seems to have forgotten how much in the South it truly relies on the black church vote. These are socially conservative people who either vote Democratic, or who will not come out and vote.

I tried to upload the video from the show. But it will not load. So, for the time being, I had to be satisfied with uploading a link. During the controversial episode in question, you can see Whoopi Goldberg trying to end the religious discussion because of the obvious dangers of making fun of someone’s faith, and she shows concern for the possibility of giving offense.

Joy Behar, on the other hand, seems oblivious to the problem that she is creating for herself. I must say, I do like the way that Whoopi Goldberg runs the show. If she had managed to stop Joy Behar earlier, this problem may not have taken place.

  3. However, I do feel sorry for Joy Behar. I do so because from her ridiculing of Mike Pence’s faith, I’ve concluded that in all her praying to Christ (as she was raised Catholic), Christ has never spoken to her. And that is sad.

  4. Perhaps He did speak to her and she simply did not listen. She kinda seems like that kinda person who only likes to listen to her own voice.

  5. The entire Book of Obadiah (Old Testament) is directly related to the Gentiles of our world today. It is a funny to know that as recent as the day before yesterday the white nations abroad and here in America are suffering thousands dying from Opioids and hard drugs, and that just from the last 2 days of investigations on my part.
